Soledad O’Brien is an award-winning documentarian, journalist, speaker, author, philanthropist and founder of Soledad O’Brien Productions, a media production company dedicated to telling empowering and authentic stories on a range of social issues. She is a correspondent for HBO Real Sports and an anchor and producer of “Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien,” a political magazine program syndicated in 95% of the country for Hearst Television.

O’Brien and her husband Brad founded the PowHerful foundation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which has helped dozens of young women get to and through college and has connected thousands of young women with mentoring conferences.
