Dear MCAA Member:

It is my pleasure to invite you, the members of our MCAA family, to the beautiful Texas hill country for another world-class convention.

We will have incredible keynote speakers imparting their wisdom. We will have educational opportunities that are on point for our industry and our lives. We will have the chance to network and experience entertainment we won’t soon forget. And we’ll have my President’s video!

The only thing we’re missing now is YOU. What makes MCAA great? That would be you! Your involvement and your participation is what makes MCAA the best construction association around. But to get the most out of your MCAA membership, you need to go ALL IN. To take your company’s success to the next level, you need to go ALL IN. And to have the experience of a lifetime, you need to go ALL IN. ALL IN… that’s our theme… because no one goes halfway when they’re in Texas! I hope to see you there!

Convention Highlights

The MCAA family will convene for MCAA18 for one of our best conventions yet! Here's why you need to go ALL IN.

We absolutely guarantee that Malcolm Gladwell, our Opening Session keynote speaker, will cause you to look at the world differently. Conventions are great for getting us away from our day-to-day and helping us see the big picture.

That said, it's all about the takeaways. Take home to your company tons of information from our world-class workshop speakers.

By Wednesday night, you'll deserve something special. So we'll celebrate MCAA18 with an awesome banquet and a private concert by four-time Grammy winner and virtuoso guitarist and singer Keith Urban. Don't be surprised if he says "blue ain't your color."

Our Closing Session on Thursday will feature MCAA's honored guest, United Association General President Mark McManus. We'll welcome him to San Antonio with his leadership team, and look forward to his remarks on the UA's perspective on the present – and the future.

Politics. News. They are too important to ignore, however complicated or confusing. Fortunately, former ABC newsman Ted Koppel, named one of America's top 100 journalists, will be on hand at the Closing Session to shed some light on current events.

Tomorrow's talent will be on hand at the 2017-2018 Student Chapter Competition on Monday and again at the Student Chapter Exhibit on Tuesday. Stop by and network with the next generation of industry leaders (and maybe hire a new intern or graduating senior)?

At Wednesday's Awards of Excellence Breakfast, we'll see our winners honored. Then, a truly honorable and excellent individual, NBA champion, Olympian and philanthropist David Robinson will take the stage to share his wisdom on success, and paying it forward.

On Tuesday MCAA partners and guests will have the privilege of hearing from the former First Lady of the United States, Laura W. Bush. We know her for her warmth and wisdom, now we'll get to know about her advocacy work for literacy, education and women's rights, too.

A highlight of Tuesday morning at the Convention is always the Manufacturer/Supplier Council Exhibit. Here's your chance to not only see the latest products and services for our industry, but to meet and build relationships with these valued members of our association.

Sporting activities... golf, tennis, fun run. Opening party with The Trip. Dessert party with The Milwaukee Toolshed Band. The pool, the spa. So many activities and parties, so little time. But all of them excellent opportunities to catch up with friends or make new ones. That's what networking is all about!

ALL IN. Those words aren't just our theme, they are our mantra for MCAA18. If you don't go ALL IN, you won't take your company, your career, or your relationships to that next level of success. No one does halfway in Texas. So ante up, and go ALL IN.
