Rick Gopffarth became President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Convention in Orlando, FL, in March 2024.
Rick is the SVP of Preconstruction for Dynamic Systems, Inc. (DSI), a national turnkey mechanical and process construction firm. DSI offers preconstruction and construction services that deliver superior design, efficiency and value to customers across an entire spectrum of industries and systems.
Looking to enhance his education and connect with others in the industry, Rick joined the MCA of Dallas, Inc. There he served on the Labor Relations, Training Curriculum, Scholarship Review, and Management Negotiation committees, eventually becoming the association’s president. He also served on the Dallas Joint Plumbers’ Local Apprenticeship Fund Board of Trustees. In addition, he was president of the MCA of Texas, Inc.
Rick’s first experience with MCAA was at an annual convention. He went on to become the chair of the Education Committee, serves on the Strategic Planning Committee, and is the contractor representative to the Manufacturer/Supplier Council Executive Committee. He was elected to the MCAA Board of Directors in 2017.
